Journey to a World Beyond
Nestled in the heart of the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico lies our secluded retreat center offering cabins built in the traditional indigenous style with cozy individual fireplaces. Journey deep within yourself and expand as far out as the eyes can see as you become one again with the natural world that we have become so distant to. Connect with the aid and support of these beautiful mountains, its sacred healing traditions, and the farm to table vegan cuisine provided. Here we have reserved spaces of the center for our own private ceremonies, events and talks. Find inner peace as you attend a traditional Mexican sweat lodge ceremony. Have the opportunity to participate in an optional traditional plant medicine ceremony with the sacred mushroom that grows directly on the mountaintop.

Who is this Retreat For?
This retreat experience is for you if you are ready to step outside of your comfort zone and expand into the greater potential of yourself. It is for those who come with an open mind and open heart and who are ready to accept and challenge themselves to grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. If you are called to travel somewhere with a group of likeminded people and to immerse yourself in a new land and connect with the beauty of nature with the intention of growth, this retreat is for you. No prior training or experience is required to join this retreat. You do need to be well enough to travel by plane, road and into a place of high altitude (8,000ft above sea level) to join this retreat.
Meet Your Guides
Meet Travis Preston, a Shamanic Navigator and Ceremonialist by nature. A natural world guide and assistant steeply rooted in tradition and building of relationships with the natural world. Last year spending 3 months traveling in Mexico awakened a calling to this plant and location that needs to be shared. Travis is a clairaudient evidential psychic medium that brings a wealth of knowledge and guidance to all those who sit in his presence. Liz Disterhoft, LICSW is a Spiritual Coach, Healer and Ceremonialist. She offers transformational events and retreat experiences that bring those who work with her through cycles of profound personal growth. Liz lived and went to school in Oaxaca with the School for International Training. She brings an experiential knowledge of the rich culture of the Oaxacan peoples and a deep respect for the land and its history. FAQs
When does the retreat start and end?
The retreat starts on Thursday, August 8th at 1pm and ends on Wednesday, August 14th at 11am.
Where is this retreat?
This retreat starts in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, Mexico. We then journey together from this city to the town of San Jose Del Pacifico, Oaxaca, Mexico for four nights and then return to Oaxaca City for one last night. See the travel itinerary below:
8/8: Arrival to Oaxaca, City Lodging anytime after 1pm for One Night - Settle in, integrate and arrive to our container
8/9: After breakfast, we will travel as a Group from Oaxaca City to San Jose Del Pacifico (3.5 hour travel time)
8/9-8/13: Retreat Experience in San Jose Del Pacifico and Four All-Inclusive Nights of Lodging, Ceremonies, and Transformation upon some of Mexico’s most beautiful mountains
8/13: Return as a Group to Oaxaca City (3.5 hour travel time) Celebration Dinner and One Night of Lodging
8/14: Retreat ends after breakfast, check out is 11am

When Should I Book My Flight For?
You will book your flight to arrive to (OAX). Oaxaca International Airport. Check in at our Oaxaca City Lodging is available at 1PM. Plan for your plane to arrive at OAX before 6PM on August 8th, 2024. If you arrive too late in the evening you will have very little time to rest and acclimate before our travels to the mountains the next day on August 9th.
Depending on where you are flying from you may not have a direct flight available to OAX. If your layover is in Mexico City, you will go through customs during your layover and will need to recheck your bags. It is recommended that you plan your flight accordingly for time during your layover to not feel rushed or stressed. If your layover is in the United States you will go through customs when you arrive at Oaxaca International Airport. If you have any questions don't hesitate to use us as a support!

You may decide you would like to spend time in Oaxaca City before or after your retreat experience. We highly recommend you take a day or two to take in the sights on your own as there are museums, ruins, and many other sights to see. Any of these additional accommodations or experiences would not however be included or covered by the retreat and would be at your own expense.

How do I get from the airport to the retreat?
Upon arrival at Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) the best way to get to our lodging in Oaxaca City is to take a taxi. Taking an Oaxaca airport taxi outside of the baggage claim is the quickest option, with a journey time of just 25 minutes and a price of (MXN 390 about $22 US). Taxis are a very safe form of transportation in Oaxaca City. Oaxaca International airport is a small airport compared to most US airports and will feel manageable. If you have language barriers you can give the written address of our lodging directly to your taxi driver. When you arrive on the first evening you will have the option to rest at the hotel or meet others arriving for the retreat in the courtyard or the rooftop terrace. Dinner will be available at the site.

Do You Recommend Travel Insurance?
Yes, we strongly recommend having travel insurance for your trip. We recommend a plan that covers personal injury, medical, repatriation, evacuation, and expenses. Trip insurance coverage for unforeseen cancellations is also encouraged for your trip.

This community, town hall style, info night where we talk about the retreat in detail, and share with you the top reasons why this retreat could be a good fit for you. We will be discussing an outline of our agenda, talking about the incredible landscape and region as a whole and the opportunities that will be available to you and your crew.
We will have plenty of time for Q&A’s as well, so bring your questions! We will also share how to get more information and plug into the next steps of reserving your spot for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
